Pattern Maker - fotojockovic.com/pattern ========================================= Turns a photo into a cross-stitch chart, a fuse-bead pattern (29 x 29 pegboards) or a diamond painting: realistic preview, symbol chart, colour list with amounts, multi-page PDF and PNG preview. Everything runs in the browser; no image leaves the device. Not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any thread, bead or diamond-painting maker. Maker names and colour numbers are used only to say which colour chart a palette follows, so the materials can be found. Our own work (MIT licence): the app (app.js: previews of stitches, beads and drills, chart symbols, the PDF writer, the UI and the texts). The colour engine is the Brick Mosaic engine of this site (/static/tools/bricks/, engine-worker.js + bricks.wasm, our own Rust code, see /static/tools/bricks/CREDITS.txt), loaded read-only. Colour data: 1. Thread / drill colours (palettes.js, DMC): 454 colour numbers of the DMC six-strand embroidery floss range. - Numbers: the maker's public colour references (facts; used only so the threads can be found). - Names: our own normalised wording of the common descriptive colour names (e.g. "Salmon Very Light"). - RGB: our own estimate. Thread has no official RGB value; we took two independently made public approximations (github.com/nathantspencer/DMC-ColorCodes and github.com/seanockert/rgb-to-dmc, fetched 2026-10-18; they differ by a median of 31 RGB units), averaged them per colour and rounded; where one of them was clearly wrong (505, 309) the other was used. No file or data set was copied as a whole. Screen colours of thread are always approximate; check against a real colour card. 2. Fuse-bead colour charts (Hama midi, Perler, Artkal S; opaque colours only) - imported from /static/tools/bricks/palettes.js, which comes from "beadcolors" by maxcleme and contributors, MIT licence, https://github.com/maxcleme/beadcolors.
