How to use it

  1. Choose your files, a whole folder, or drop them on the page.
  2. Check the settings: the defaults are already the best for most photos.
  3. Save each file, all of them as a ZIP, or straight into a folder.

Questions

How much smaller will my photos get?

Phone photos usually shrink by 50 to 80% with no visible difference. Screenshots and graphics saved as PNG often shrink by 60 to 80%. Every file shows its exact saving, and the total is at the top.

How does “target size” work?

Enter a size such as 100 KB. FotoJock chooses the picture size and the quality together: quality stays where the photo looks clean, and the picture gets the largest size that still fits, filling 95 to 100% of the limit. 20 KB holds about a 450 px photo, 100 KB about 1000 px. If a form asks for exact pixels, choose “Exact pixels” and only the quality changes.

Which encoders are used?

mozjpeg for JPG, Google’s libwebp for WebP, rav1e for AVIF, and our own colour reduction plus oxipng for PNG. They are compiled to WebAssembly and run in your browser.

Can I do hundreds of files at once?

Yes. Drop a whole folder or select as many files as you like. They are processed a few at a time on all your processor cores, with progress for every file. You can pause, stop, retry, and save as a ZIP or straight into a folder.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. FotoJock runs entirely in your browser: the files are read, converted and saved on your own phone or computer. Nothing is sent to a server, and it keeps working offline once the page is open.

Is it really free?

Yes, with no account, no watermark and no limit on the number of files. FotoJock is made by Foto Jocković, a photo shop in Belgrade.
